You can find just about anything on the web to listen to. I found these audio podcasts from washington. You can also download them and put them on your ipod so that you can listen to them anytime.

GIS/Maps

I love google maps. I used to use mapquest anytime that i needed to get somewhere or see something. I like google earth and google maps better than mapquest. It is easier for me and more fun to use. There are many different ways to use google maps. I like to use it to see where I am going because I am visual learner. I also find that they are more accurate.

Google Docs

I love google docs. I think that this is a great tool. One way that I would like to see it be used is by our cohort sharing plans and helping each other on projects. I think that it will make us a stronger team and we will learn and grow from each other. I used this in our tech class to upload my info and then critic other classmates. Podcasting

Podcasting is basically when a person publishes a video feed of themselves or of somethings else. I have a friend who puts on car racing shows and does a live podcast of each show. He even send out a text message before the podcast starts to remind people. I love when people put their podcasts on you tube. I have been able to see me family and others that i know doing things that were fun and interesting. My brother and his friends have freestyle friday where they rap with each other and they post it each week. Here is the URL.

Photo Sharing

I use Picasa to photo share. My whole family uses this and we share our url's and send them to each other. That way we can all see each others pictures. http://picasaweb.google.com/home

Bookmarking

I bookmarked the UEN website. I used Delicious.com for my public bookmarks. I am planning on adding more so that I can use them when I am a teacher.

Wikis

Wikis are a cool and weird thing. You can go on them and add or change the information. Wikis are opinions of different people. Wikipedia lets you join and edit or change what is on the page. Classrooms can have their own Wiki. They can write a story on their Wiki and change or edit the information.

I started a Wiki to collect information that I hope to use when I am a teacher. I will add to this Wiki as I learn more.
